Tail Blazers Dog Camp

Where tails blaze trails!

About Tail Blazers Dog Camp

As a young child, I often fantasized about one day having a job working with animals. I have always had a deep connection to all living things, from insects, to dogs, to horses.  I have been working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and while it has allowed me to be somewhat of a stay at home mom for the past  decade, I have always known there was something else. Throughout my time in the hospitality industry I have learned about clear communication, caring for people, and making connections, which I believe translate well with listening to my clients needs and always keeping their dogs best interest at heart.  My clients say I am fun, reliable, and honest.

In 2022 I completed the My Dog Camp course, which opened my eyes to the world of dog walking and really getting to understand the way dogs communicate, socialize, and play.  I realized this was the path I wanted to create for myself.  Not only do I get to allow dogs to live their best life outside, but I also get to have a great working relationship with my clients as well!  This is something I truly take to heart.

In November of 2023, I completed a year long dog training course, through my mentor Rhonda Bilodeau, which has allowed me to further explore and understand ways to help people with their dogs through behavior modification and rewards/relaxation based training.  It gives me the ability to not only work better with my dogs a camp but also help build a better relationship between dogs and their owners throughout the community.  During this year long program I also completed a 3 day in person e-collar workshop and a 7 day in person workshop allowing me hands on practice, implementing all that I have learned, with a variety of dogs.
